Lisa-Mei Downs

Accounting & Finance

Lisa-Mei was born in Alaska and spent her childhood traveling between Singapore and    Napa Valley.  Throughout her various travels, she has only considered the Napa Valley to be her home.  As a child, she grew up spending time either studying or spending time at the Clos Du Val cellar, where her godfather was a winemaker.  While growing up, Lisa-Mei learned about the art of winemaking and developed a strong passion for the entire wine industry, from sourcing grapes, barrel selection, and creating a finished product.

Once in college, Lisa-Mei studied Chemistry, with the idea of one day ultimately following in the footsteps of her godfather and becoming a winemaker as well.  However, as she worked her way through a multitude of science courses, she paid her way through various bookkeeping positions.  Landing her bookkeeping position at the age of 15, Lisa-Mei showed an affinity for bookkeeping as well as strong managerial skills.  She went on to handle the accounting functions for a variety of businesses including retail, shipping, medical offices, real estate & property management, vineyard management, as well as several wineries.

Twenty-five years later, Lisa-Mei has grown to love the accounting and finance world while developing a skill set specific to cost and managerial accounting.  Lisa-Mei has inherent ability and passion to ensure a company's success and growth.  After spending the past decade assisting smaller, boutique wineries achieve financial success, Lisa-Mei is able to provide business owners with much needed clarity about their business, while providing several options for possible growth.
